I don't understand what you mean by "ground housing", and I can't see how there can be an opposite to the nouns "flat" or "apartment."

I would guess Anon is assuming that apartments and flats are never on the ground floor, which isn't in any case correct.

Each region of the world has its own names for different types of residences. In the U.S. the "opposite" term that I think you're looking for is "single-family home".

Different kinds of residences:

house, single-family home, duplex, fourplex, mobile home, houseboat, condominium, row house, apartment.
