Opportunity

Dear teachers...

I have got to be given the opportunity to study at that school.
I would like to be given the chance to study at that school.

Are these sentences grammatically OK? If so, what are the differences between them?

Many thanks

Hi, I have got to be given the opportunity to study at that school. The people who decide have no choice. They must say 'Yes'.
