Opinion please

hello,

My aunt returned from foreign country. she is taking medicines for some disease.
for one medicine it is written as npo which i searched in internet which gave meaning
as nothing by mouth. is it not amazing to write nothing by mouth. my question is- how we
take medicine if not by mouth? this is confusing me. why it is written like that? is it
a print mistake or has any meaning?

thanks, shiva kumar.

Unless this is something to be taken in preparation for surgery, there may have been a mistake. The only thing you can do is contact the doctor who wrote the prescription and ask. CJ

It is not at all amazing. The data provided by you is not at all sufficient to come to a perfect conclusion. Please provide some details as furnished below:

1. Name of the drug

2. Composition of the drug
