operating table or operation table?

Cheers mate, I am wondering if any of you could help me clear my doubt on this noun/adjective usage of the verb "operate".

What would you use as an adjective for the surgical table? Would you use "operating table" or "operation table"? The words operating and operation seems same to me and I take that both the "o... tables" given above having the same meaning.

I am just wondering if someone has different comprehension for the grammar usage above. Please point out my mistake if anyone of you think I am wrong.
