Opening address

This is my assignment in English Interpretation course.

My role, here, is to be a organizer of a conference and need to write the opening address.

The first paragraph; give my warm welcom, the second; the aim of the conference, the thrid; a short explanation, the forth; wish all achievements.

I'm not used to writing this kind of paragraphs, so it might be not clear or not specific.

what can I do more?

With great pleasure I extend my warmest welcome to all of you. I wish to thank you for having participated in our conference and I also wish to offer thanks to Dankook university officials for giving me the opportunity to give this address.



The aim of the present meeting is to give full details of the new university entrance system which is set for the partial replacement of the existing system, suggest several strategies to succeed in entering universities with the new system. I am sure that this will be a timely and worthwhile contribution to students and parents who are preparing for going to universities.



As we have noticed problems based on the unified university entrance system, the new system comes out to supplement the old one. In contrast to the amount of time that students spent studying in schools to prepare for the existing exam, it has proved that it is rarely effective or practical in carrying new challenges which students must deal with outside schools. Therefore, the new system will give students the first step to be involved in extracurricular activities.



I anticipate that at this conference all of you get as much useful information as you need, and all the students will be successful in entering universities with the new entrance system.
