opening a parcel

Hello all,

My friend ordered a parcel and sent it to me for me to bring it to his house. However, the box is too big and its inconvenient to carry it to his house. Therefore, I want to tell him that I will need to open up the package and only bring the contents of the parcel to him, without the box.

How can I tell my friend in a concise sentence? Thank you.

Hi,

Perhaps "I can bring it to you, but only if I take it out of the box first."

Best wishes, Clive
