RE: SPONSORSHIP APPEAL
This letter is a formal appeal to you for help with scholarship to cover related costs and expenditures for continuing my 4years Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Zambia (UNZA). I have always been passionate about the economic performance of my mother country Zambia, and how best I can positively contribute to her economic stability through productive innovations since I completed my grade twelve at senanga high school in 2007. However, this could not be hastened and achieved without professional knowledge to help draw lines between economically and non-economically viable ventures.
By helping me complete my Economics degree, I feel that I will not only further my career, but also add to the country’s productive human resource that could be used for analyzing and solving complex resource allocation, as well as predicting the costs and benefits of choices made by the organization/country in order to excel in its ventures economically.
I have completed my first two years and now going into third year when the university opens on 08 January 2017. The first two years were affordable because I was studying on distance basis, I can no longer continue studying on distance basis because there are no study materials for both third and fourth years hence the need to become a full time student, this change of study mode comes with enormous costs and expenses that I am unable to meet. I know that you will receive numerous applications for scholarship appeals, but I am appealing you help me through this difficult time, so I don’t have to drop out of the University. I am not qualifying for student loans as I ‘am over three years required number of years after completion of grade twelve. Why do you use the word "appeal"; have you already applied and been rejected? Also, are you applying for a specific scholarship program? If so, what's it called, and who is the body that you're applying to?

The Bursaries Committee was established through a statutory instrument, No. 182 of the 1973 Education Act of the Laws of Zambia. The Bursaries Committee administers Bursaries, Scholarships, Student Loans and Fellowships for tertiary education in Zambia and abroad.

When can I apply for a Bursary?
Applications are usually invited from suitably qualified Zambians to contest for these scholarships by way of adverts in the media around February/March and September each year.
How do I apply for a Bursary? You will be required to send the following: A letter of application to the Bursaries Committee responding to the advert in the media, clearly stating the field of study desired, age, day time telephone number, fax and e-mail address for easy communication.

Are you sure that you have met the application deadline for January 2017?

@teacher I have not applied before this is my first time applying and would like to target a bank to sponsor me,if appeal is not appropriate then what do i replace it with?

the application deadline for January 2017 is only for school leavers. i completed school in 2007

You didn't say you were asking a private party. Does the bank offer scholarships?

I write this letter as a sincere plea to you to help me with a scholarship to cover my study-related costs and expenditures without which I would not be able to continue my bachelor’s degree in economics at the University of Zambia (UNZA).

I have always been passionate about the economic performance of my country Zambia, and how best I can positively contribute to its economic stability and growth through productive innovations, ever since I was a high-school student at Senanga High School in 2007. That is what motivated me to study hard at the time and achieve the required grade to be accepted into this degree program.

By helping me complete my Economics degree, you will not only help me with my career, but you would also be making a valuable investment in the country’s productive human resources and its valuable qualified, educated and innovative future workforce. Zambia desperately needs young graduates to help find novel solutions to its various complex economic challenges; these include the chronic issue of optimal and equitable resource allocation as well as predicting the costs and benefits of choices made by private organizations and public entities.

I have worked hard and successfully completed my first two years of the bachelor's degree, and now I'm hoping to start third year when the university term starts on 08 January 2017. The first two years were affordable because I was studying off campus by distance learning. However, I can no longer continue studying on this basis because there are no distance-education study materials for both third and fourth years, and if I am to continue, then I have no choice but to become a full-time student. Unfortunately, this change of study mode comes with enormous costs and expenses that I am simply unable to meet. I know that you probably receive numerous applications for sponsorship, but I am appealing to you to help me through this difficult time, so I don’t have to drop out of my university education. I wish to explain that I do not qualify for student loans as I am over three years out of grade twelve.

@AlpheccaStars. Actually am doing this in an attempt to persuade the bank to do  take that as part of its corporate responsibility so i become the first person to receive such help.

Are you working for this bank? Sometimes employers will sponsor employees for further education because they will be more skilled, knowledgeable and loyal employees.

@AlpheccaStars No am not working for this bank, but want it to sponsor me,

@AlpheccaStars and teacher Kindly help on how i can add these points to my letter;
1) If 100% scholarship grant may seem as a lose to the org, i am willing work for the sponsor after completion of the degree for a fixed number of years and then i can decide to stay or leave
2) When the bank sponsors me this will make it gain positive good will and make positive impact in the business community they are operating from, hence fulfill its corporate responsibility

I would not advise a potential (unrelated) sponsor of their "corporate responsibility." That is presumptuous.
I would not offer my employment in exchange for a 100%. That creates a pall of indentured servitude.

They may have different ways to demonstrate their "corporate responsibility." For example, a bank could give low-interest, or interest-free loans to local entrepreneurs who want to start a small business. The bank does not make a profit on these loans, but they will help to create local jobs, give great local businesses to the community, and increase their local customer base.
