Grammar

open or opened?

Is there ever a case when you can use open'ed'?

I have seen door signs with clos'ed' but the flip side has the 'ed' omitted.

So would it be wrong to use open'ed' as it isn't grammartically correct?

what about: the window is open/opened? was the box open/opened?

'Opened' on the back of a 'closed'' sign is not correct. If we are talking about an action,'... is opened' is fine: The door is opened at nine o' clock sharp every morning.
