open and be open

Dear Teachers,

I would like to know the difference between "open" and "be open". As far I as I know, "open" can be in both verb & adjective form. For example....

  • The application will open

  • The application will be open
Which sentence should be the correct one? If possible, would you please give other examples for me to have a better understanding.

Many thanks!! Emotion: smile
