On/with

I'm asking my mom to help me sign something. I say:

Did you do a good job with the signature? Or

Did you do a good job on the signature?

Which is correct?

It's nothing illegal. We've also left a note saying that she's signing in place of me. Can I say:

We've also left a note saying that she's signing in place of my absence.

Thank yoU!

PreciousJones We've also left a note saying that she's signing in place of my absence. You mean if she were not there, your absence would sign instead??? Yikes, no!
