On/Via the internet

Hello.
What would be the right preposition to use in this answer?

- How did you learn English?
- On/Via the internet.

I'd say "on" the Internet. "Via" is "through", but I think you mean to say you had to be logged on the Internet to find a site that helped you learn English.

Hi guys,

Often, these words can be interchanged. However, generally speaking, 'I learned on the internet' means that 'the internet was the place that I learned', but 'via the internet' means that the internet was the means, or you might say the method, by which I learned.
