Only grammatically speaking

Is this grammatically correct?

Before I confirm the the interview could you tell me what the job consists of so as not to waste my time should the job not be what I am looking for.

If you replace 'my' with 'your' it is correct I would say, but with 'my' does it work?

Thank you

The sentence is long and convoluted (though not incomprehensible), thus it could do with a few commas here and there so as to make it clearer. Plus, since it's definitely formal writing, it could be a tad bit more polite: Before I confirm (my attendance at) the interview, would you please be so kind as to send me a description of the job, so that I could determine whether it is in keeping with my qualifications and expectations.
