Only acted in movies that

Are these sentences correct:

1-Who was the actor who acted only in movies that were at least nominated for the academy award for best picture?

2-John Cazale is the actor who acted only in movies that were at least nominated for the academy award for best picture.

I am saying they were 'at least nominated' because one or two of them were not only nominated for it, but won it as well.

Gratefully,

navitasan I am saying they were 'at least nominated' because one or two of them were not only nominated for it, but won it as well. I'm not sure what you're going for here. You seem to be saying that only one actor (John Cazale) falls into the category you describe in your question.

Thank you very much CalifJim.

"They" refers back to "movies". The movies were at least nominated for best film. As far as I know, at least one of them won (The Godfather). Whether the person (the actor John Cazale) was nominated or not is besides the point here. The films he was in were all nominated for best picture and at least one of them won.

OK. I think I understand it now. As I understand it, you don't need "at least". Even those movies which won had to have been nominated.
