Only

When I talk about money,I need a formal way of expressing numbers (for example, in a contract,or check)

So for US$15, it become SAY USD FIFTEEN ONLY

But if the number is us$15.15

So it become SAY USD FIFTEEN AND FIFTEEN CENTS ONLY

Do I still need the the word 'only' ,because I thought there is ’CENTS‘ ,no need of the ONLY .

or something else?

Thank you .

Hi, Sandy. What doest "SAY" in your examples stand for? "Fifteen dollars" and "one hundread dollars and twenty cents" will not work for you, will it?

When you write a number in a contract ,

to add a 'SAY' in the front is the rule ,and all the english letters have to be capital, and put Only in the back.

this is what i was told, and I suppose that you should tell me why.

'one hundread dollars and twenty cents' is all right for most situation,

but not for a formal contract,

Am I wrong about this?

Well, may be the one who told you so could elaborate. But I have never heard of it. An expert might pop in and provide further information.
