Hello, which is correct to say:
It is written in/on the packing list that the shipment left in year 2007.
It is mentioned in/on the contract that the warranty of the car is one year.

I would say "on the list" and "in the contract."

The way prepositions work in English is highly idiomatic.

The only "rule" that you violate is that it's just not how we say it.
