Ongoing

Hi.
"[coordination] is a continuous, ongoing process."

Why did she say 'contninuous, ongoing, not just one of them?

Thanks in advance!

soheil1 Why did she say 'contninuous, ongoing, not just one of them? Probably because she doesn't recognize redundancy when she sees it. I can, however, imagine an ongoing situation that isn't necessarily continuous , in that it may have intermittent stops along the way.

Hi,

Probably because she wasn't thinking with great care about her words. That's often the case, particularly in spoken English.
