Hi guys, what do you call somebody who doesn't know a thing about a particular subject like computer, music etc.

That's what it's called. This "illiterate" is not at all literary. It does not mean that you can't read, which is actually a fairly recently developed meaning of the word. It means that you are not well read on whatever subject.

I think OP meant too literary as in too formal or fancy, thus the asking for a more casual word.

I'm not sure there is a more casual word, though. Ignorant is probably good. He's completely ignorant about music.
