One/ some substitution

A : Can you give me a few nails? I need one.

B : I will get you some soon.

I do not undertand clearly the dialogue between A and B.

Q1) What does 'one' refer to? A nail or 'a few nails'?

Q2) Why B says I will get you 'some,' even though A says 'one'?
