one show three show

A stand-up comedian occasionally holds a series of shows. 'One series' refers to many nights in the same place talking about the same thing, same scripts, etc.; if it's correct to say it's 'a series of comedy shows', then is each night known as 'one show'?

-In the third show(=third night), the comedian fell down and was sent to hospital and the show had to be cut off.

Top answer

"In the third show" and "On the third night" are both OK. I would put a comma after "hospital". It may be that you mean "collapsed" rather than "fell down".

Sorry, it occurred to me later that most probably you meant "cut short".
