One sentence, different versions

Gross profit in our current journal range is lower than that of X's journal's gross profit.

Gross profit in our current journal range is lower than that of X's range.

Gross profit in our current journal range is lower than X's range.

Gross profit in our current journal range is lower than what X make with their journal range.

Which do you like and which are incorrect, if any?

When I mean journal I mean notebook... a range of journals that a business sells

Can you also please tell me why you chose to leave out 'that of' in the second? Is the reason something to do with grammar, style, or did you just want to show another variation?
