one sentence correction needed !!

do u think this sentence is correct???

The action of the story moves forward when, on a particular evening, Donavan tells Bonaparte that the Englishmen are not just prisoners but also hostages, and that they will be executed if the English harm the Irish prisoners

I think it's correct. You could put a comma after "prioners" or you could simplify it a little as "are hostages as well as prisoners. It's a pretty complicated sentence though.
