Grammar

one sentence

Hello,

1. These are graps. They are sweet.

I have to write these two sentences into one sentence.

a) These graps are sweet.

I think (a) is a correct version.

But I have to explain it to a child of six years old. I don't know the best approach to explain it.

Could anybody clear it how to explain it?
