One or two "a"?

Hi, I am creating an app and since I am not a native english speaker I simply can't figure out which of these two sentences is correct, or if both are. I suspect both are, but which do you think I should use?

It's used as an info popup for the user, the name could be any name.

1. "Emma, select a word or phrase."
2. "Emma, select a word or a phrase."

I first used option 1, but then got a little confused and now I just dont know if I need to use "a" in front of "phrase" too?

Thanks in advance for helping me out!

They are both correct English. I would probably use the first one.
