One or the one or the other?
Hi. In Second Corinthians 2:15-16 of the Bible in the New International Version, it is written:
15 For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task?
Is it correct to have the phrase "To the one" at the beginning of verse 16? If it is, is it also correct to have the phrase "To one" there? Also, I believe we use an n-dash for a range of things like verses 14-16 (Sorry, I don't know how to type an n-dash. I believe a guru in your forum showed me how to do it in a post, but I wasn't able to do it.) Now, is it correct to write "15-16" for verses 15 and 16? Thank you in advance for your help.
