One of you people's mobile phone was...

Hi

Could you please have a look at these sentences? Are they all OK in spoken and written English?

1) One of you people's mobile phone was ringing during the meeting. I want to know whose.

[Teacher to students in a class]

2) How many of your fathers are doctors?

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks, MM!

To be honest, I was almost sure that the second would be odd or wrong. How many of your fathers... sounds very strange to my non-native ears. But you okayed it.

One of you people's - sounds like a dialect from New York or New Jersey spoken by not very well educated citizens. I've heard it in movies about organized crime.

A better way to say it is:
Someone's mobile phone was ringing during the meeting.
