One of worst appraches, perhaps the worsest of all, to learn english

Please edit/correct the given text:

One of worst appraches, perhaps the worsest of all, to learn English is to literally translate every word of your native language into English. When you want to say something in some other language you are basically supposed to translate your thoughts or ideas into the target language. Unfortunately once I was also follower of this approach but I was thrust into adopting this approach by my teacher.

I got timed out.

I'd probably set off "perhaps the worst of all" with dashes rather than commas. Maybe you can get some other advice on this.
