One of those + ing

Hey guys,

If someone told you: "Not everyone is allowed to eat that cake"
It is correct to ask:
"Could I be one of those eating the cake?"

Top answer

The original sentence speaks of who is allowed to eat that cake. It does not tell us that anyone is actually eating that cake. So, I think you may be trying to say this.
