Is this sentence correct: 1) Using CGI, they managed to reconstruct one of the major streets of our city in the 1920's.
The idea is that images of that street the way it looked in the 1920's. The street still exists and is probably still one of the major streets of our city.

I think it is clearer to say "as it was in the 1920s". I would not put an apostrophe in "1920s".
