For a loved one... who ran away from life.

Wish you were here, but that is impossible.
Though if you knew the intensity of my longing,
You would've made the impossible possible,
Even from heaven, you wouldn't be long in coming.

Wish you would come back from where you have landed yourself,
Unwittingly, rashly, such a step you took,
You leave me lost, like you once were yourself,
But I know better than to do what you undertook.

Wish you had taken longer in making your choice,
I would have been with you if you had.
I would have dissuaded you with my loving voice,
That has lost the happy tone it once always had.

Wish I still possessed your soul,
Though I may not behold your form,
For then the emotions that wreck my soul,
Would find release on your supporting arm.

Cherished illusions, vain delirium, fly!
I do not want to consort with thee,
Not dreams,desires,nor ecstacy do lie
In front of me. I behold reality.
