Hello! It's been raining for 3days until now in Korea. Not a good day. How about you?

My problem is the below.,

Q. Change the word in the parenthesis into a proper form.

Even though he couldn't walk well, he went on to do great things. He was one of the America's ( great ) presidents.

Answer: greatest

But, I think 'great' is also OK. Isn't it?

Thank you. But I need more help.

In fact, I am teaching chindren English in Korea. My book teaches that we have to use " one of + superative of adjective + plural nouns " ?

It looks like kind of a grammar. I need an answer grammatical not a colloquial one. Would you answer me again? Other teachers say that (greatest) is the only answer.

You do not have to use the superlative.
