One line sentence

if someone is standing at a distance then waht is appropriate- walk to me or walk upto me.

say I am learning some thing and I say I undetstand, is it right or should I say I understood and why.

Also please tell me the difference between will/would and can/could. We usaually make use of would/could instead of will/can. Why?
