One

Hello,

1. One of my friends is a doctor.

Here "one" is a subject of the sentence and "is" the verb. The subject and verb are in agreement.

2. One of my friends who is a doctor lives in Japan.

Is the (2) correct?

Does "who" stand for "one" or "friends"?

Thanks.
