Once or one time

I am trying to correct an oral communication exam i set my Japanese students. When talking about transport is it incorrect to say 'You need to change 1 time (on the train)' or is it better to say once? or perhaps it doesn't matter!

2. Twice. (two times)
3. Three times, four times, four times, five times, six times and so on.

If you say "change on the train" it means change your clothing whilst on the train
