Once I master English, I will go anywhere.

1) Once I master English, I will go anywhere.

2) Once I have mastered English, I will go anywhere.

I have learned that #1 is grammatically correct and I was wondering if we also can say sentences like #2 and is there a difference in meaning between them?

Thank you so much as usual.

The dependent clauses are fine, but the main clause sounds a little odd. It would be more natural as: I will be able to go anywhere / I can go anywhere.
