ONCE at the right place ?

Hello,
Is it correct to write "I have ONCE been in New York" instead of "I have been in New York ONCE" ? (I mean that I've been in NY only one time)

this is the same as saying:
postmuth I've been in NY only one time
postmuthI have ONCE been in New York"
This is not said. If you say, "I was once in NY..." it is the same as saying, "One time, when I was in NY..." Different meaning.
