I wake up at 7 o'clock on weekdays / on the weekdays.

I go to church on weekends / on the weekends.

I often have heard of on weekdays, but not on the weekdays and then is there a meaning difference between them?

I also often have heard of on weekends and on the weekends and I think that they are used for the same meaning a lot or is there a meaning difference between them?
