Hi,

Which word choice would be more appropriate?

1. I would like to schedule an appointment for Monday OR
2. I would like to schedule an appointment on Monday.

Hi, Both are usually fine, and commonly said. ' This is a less common meaning, and the context will nomally leave no doubt about what is really meant. Clive

Both are usually fine, and commonly said.

But you could argue that #2 might mean eg 'I want to do the scheduling on Monday and have the actual appointment on Wednesday.' This is a less common meaning, and the context will nomally leave no doubt about what is really meant.
