"on the window" vs "in the window"

Hi everyone, a bit of a preposition problem here--which sentence reads better/ more correct to you?

a) There's a "baby on board" sign *in* the back window of that car.

b) There's a "baby on board" sign *on* the back window of that car.

Thanks in advance,

TT
