Can I say,
(a) On the way to school, she was walking past a (busy) road. She saw an old lady at the roadside but the road / it was busy with many cars.
(b) While walking to school, Lily saw an old lady standing at the roadside. She wanted to cross it but it was very busy. Lily was pity and helped her to cross the road.
(c) After the practice, Lily decided to go home. When she was walking past / walked past a bus stop, she saw an old lady by the roadside.
