Another English teacher gives me a correction on the sentence as written.

"As a student, if you don't have any friends, you will be ignorant and ill-informed."

He notes that it's grammatically accepted now, but patently untrue. Honest speaking, the above sentence is directly translated from a Chinese proverb. I am not sure if this English sentence can authen
