On the tip of my brain/tongue

Hi everyone,

When i watch the movie 90210, one of the character said "it's right on the tip of my brain", exactly that but i can't find this phrase in the dictionary, i just found "on the tip of my tongue". So, what's the difference between these phrases?

Hope you guys can help

Thanks so much

I've never heard tip of the 'brain'. One might say that something I've forgotten is at the 'back of my brain'. There are a few examples of it on Google, but I seems that it's just a version of the 'tongue' expression.
