Hi. Should the first sentence have the word "on" and the second sentence have the word "in" (although they are followed by a name of a sea and an ocean)? I don't know whether the sentences are correct or make sense.
1. This place is on the Mediterranean Sea.
2. This place is in the Pacific Ocean.
Top answer
The words 'sea' and 'ocean' are irrelevant here. 1-- If it is a coastal place, yes. use 'on'.
