On the road - usage question

Hi,

Just wondering how I could express the following:

If I am on the road, taking a bus, in the subway or on a train so it is inconvenient for me to take an important phone call, what is the correct way to say this?

"Sorry I am on the road. Can I get back to you?"
"Sorry I am outside. Can I get back to you?"

They don't sound right to me.

Thanks.

How about this? eg I'm very sorry, but I'll have to get back to you. Clive
