On the right VS On the right hand side

Hi everyone,

I have heard people use "on the right" and "on the right hand side" in daily conversations. However, I don't understand the difference between the two. When should we include "hand" and when should we drop it? Would you please show me the difference ?

Thank you very much in advance

Kenny

KennyLu I have heard people use "on the right" and "on the right hand side" in daily conversations. However, I don't understand the difference between the two. As they stand, I see none; they are simply two ways of saying the same thing.
