On the other hand

Hi,
'Email is a fast way of sending messages. On the other hand, it is cheap.'

Is it ok to use'on the other hand' here?Do you have to use 'on the one hand' in the first part?
What is the difference if 'In addition' is used instead of 'on the other hand'?
Big thanks

That is not natural. You use 'on the other hand' if there is some form of contrast.
