Which of the following sentences is correct?

Basically I wanted to know whether it's 'on the flight' or 'in the flight'. Also, first form of verb is used after using the word 'did' in any sentence. So accordingly, shouldn't it be ' Did any cute guy come and sat next to you on the flight?'
