Hello, I am reading a book and I came across the following passage which I do not understand :
On the afternoon of her trial and conviction ...
What does it mean ? Does this means that her trials happened or happening during afternoon, or that her trial already happened ? Thank You!
I would take that to mean that her trial and conviction happened in the afternoon. They might have happened that morning, though.

QuantupleWhat does it mean ?
It means "On the afternoon of December 5, 1955" The court records do not contain the time of the trial, but it was on that day.
