Garage Sale is similar to Yard Sale which are like Flea Markets. A garage sale - the garage is used as the "store" to sell, for example, unwanted things such old books, furniture, etc.

Hi,

Gargage Sale The owner of a house decides to have a small, private sale of used items. He puts them in or in front of his garage, puts small signs up in his neighbourhood, and sells to people who come to look. Usually, prices are very low, and often subject to negotiation. Another term for this is a 'yard sale', referring to the 'yard' in front of a house.
