Chinese autorities has banned some vehicles from roads in Beijing, a move to cut down pollution ahead of the Olympics. The ban, effective yesterday, didn't seem to make a immediate difference. The city was as smoggy as before and roads were as clogged. The next move on the polution battle plan is to allow vehicles on the road on odd and even days, depending on their licence plate numbers.
