On my way home

Hello everyone.

I'd like to write a sentence which means almost the same thing as "I saw a firefighter on my way home." Could you evaluate each of the following six sentences depending on whether it is natural? --

(A) I saw a firefighter when I was coming home.
(B) I saw a firefighter when I was getting back home.
(C) I saw a firefighter when I was walking home.

(D) I saw a firefighter while I was coming home.
(E) I saw a firefighter while I was getting back home.
(F) I saw a firefighter while I was walking home.
